Memory trick

How well can you control your memory? Try this test. Work through it as slowly as you like, and see how close you come to the right answer.:)

You're a bus-driver, and at your first stop on the morning eight passengers get on the bus. At the second    stop, three people get off and seven get on. At the next stop, only one person leaves the bus but at a large group of schoolchildren climbs aboard: nineteen in all. Five people get off at the next stop, and two get on. At the stop after that, seven more people join the bus. At the sixth stop on the route, eleven people get off and four get on.

The question is:
What is the bus-driver's name?

Before you complain that you were tricked, look back at the opening words of the test. You know the answer-you just lost sight of it. You are the driver, so the correct answer is obviously your name.
It's easy to get sidetracked and to forget simple things that we've only just seen.
